How Selling Works

From the moment a customer orders to delivery — here's the complete order flow.

Order Processing — Step by Step

1

New Order Arrives

You'll see it in the "Orders" tab under "New". The order shows customer name, items, address, and payment method (COD or Online).

2

Accept the Order

Click "Accept" and enter estimated preparation time. The customer gets a WhatsApp notification that their order is confirmed.

Auto-print: Enable "Auto-Print" in the orders page to automatically print shipping labels when you accept!
3

Pack the Items

Once ready, click "Start Packing". Then "Ready for Pickup" — this tells the system to find a nearby delivery rider.

4

Rider Assignment & Delivery

A delivery rider is auto-assigned based on your location. The rider picks up the package and delivers it to the customer. You can track the status in real-time.

5

Payment Settlement

For online payments — money is transferred to your bank after delivery. For COD — the rider collects cash and it's settled to your account.

Printing Labels & Invoices

Every order can have a shipping label, packing slip, and invoice printed in multiple sizes.

Shipping Label

Prints Ship From/To address, barcode, QR code, COD amount. Available in 2x3, 3x4, 4x4, 4x6 sizes.

Invoice

Full bill with itemized list, GST, total, and payment details. Available as A4 print or PDF download.

Packing Slip

Quick checklist for your packing team — shows items, quantities, and special instructions.

5

Scan & Pack — Packing Video Safety

Protect yourself against false return claims by recording a packing video for every shopping order.

Why Record Packing Videos?

When a customer returns a product, you need proof that you packed the correct item in good condition. A 10-30 second packing video is your evidence against false claims like "wrong item" or "damaged product".

How It Works

1

Click "Scan & Pack" on the Order

On any shopping order (not grocery/food), you'll see a Scan & Pack button. Click it to start.

2

Scan the Label Barcode

The camera opens and scans the CODE128 barcode on your printed shipping label. This automatically loads the order details — items, customer info, and status.

You can also scan QR codes! Switch between QR and Barcode mode in the scanner.
3

Record 10-30 Second Packing Video

After scanning, tap "Start Recording". Show the product clearly, scan the label on camera, then pack it. The video auto-stops at 30 seconds.

4

Video Saved as Evidence

The video is stored locally with the order. It auto-deletes 7 days after delivery (after the return window closes). You can view or delete it anytime from the order details.

Recording Tips

1. Show the product clearly — Hold it up to the camera so serial numbers and condition are visible
2. Scan the label on video — This proves which order the product belongs to
3. Show the packing process — Wrap the item, place in box/bag, seal it
4. Good lighting — Record in a well-lit area for clear video
5. Steady hands — Keep the phone stable or use a stand

Packing Video

Record when packing. Shows product + label + packing process. Auto-deletes 7 days after delivery.

Return Protection

If a customer files a false return, your video proves what was packed. Use it as evidence in disputes.

Barcode Scanner

Scan the barcode on your shipping label to instantly load order details and start recording.

Shopping Products Only

This feature is only for shopping products (Electronics, Fashion, Home, etc.). Grocery and food items don't need packing videos since they have different return policies.

6

How Customers Find & Buy Your Products

Understanding the customer journey helps you optimize your listings.

Customer Searches or Browses

Customers visit SimiTolk and browse by category (Shopping, Grocery, etc.) or search for specific products. Your product appears based on its type, category, and name.

Product Detail Page

When a customer clicks your product, they see: photos, price (with MRP strikethrough and discount %), description, reviews, and similar products. Good photos = more sales!

Add to Cart & Checkout

Customer adds product to cart, selects size/color if applicable, enters delivery address, and chooses payment method (COD or Online).

Order Placed — You Get Notified!

The order appears in your dashboard instantly. You also get a WhatsApp notification. Process it quickly for happy customers!

Tips to Get More Sales

1. Great photos — Use clear, well-lit images from multiple angles
2. Competitive pricing — Check what others charge and price fairly
3. Complete descriptions — Material, size, color, features — the more detail, the better
4. Fast processing — Accept and pack orders quickly for better ratings
5. Keep stock updated — Nothing kills trust like "out of stock" after ordering
